Parent Child Interaction Therapy

In addition to my work with individuals, I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) through PCIT International. PCIT is a specialized, evidence-based treatment designed to strengthen parent-child relationships and address behavioral challenges in children ages 2–8.

Through this structured and supportive approach, parents learn to better understand the emotions that drive their child’s behaviors and to foster emotional regulation skills through positive, consistent interactions. During live Telehealth sessions, I provide real-time coaching and guidance as you practice new strategies with your child- helping you build confidence and mastery in these techniques.

Families who participate in PCIT often experience increased connection, reduced acting-out behaviors, and a greater sense of harmony at home. Parents report feeling calmer, more effective, and more able to enjoy time with their children.

With regular attendance and consistent practice at home, treatment typically lasts between 12–20 weeks.
